Evansville, IN– The University of Evansville Softball Team (7-21, 1-2 MVC) will be heading to Des Moines, IA this weekend to take on the Drake Bulldogs.  A double header will take place on Saturday with the first game starting at 12:00 p.m. CDT and the second game at 2:00 p.m.   The series will wrap up on Sunday with a 12:00 p.m. start.  A live video link will be provided below.
 
 The Aces are coming off a double header on Wednesday against UT Martin.  The Aces dropped both games in the set with the first one being a score of 14-11 and the second 5-1.
 
Danielle Freeman has started her season with a bang.  Freeman got a late start because of the overlap with swimming season but in the eight games that she has played she has made her presence known.  Freeman has gone 13-26 at the plate with a .500 BA.  She has five home runs, two doubles, and a total of 11 RBIs.  Freeman currently has a SLG% of 1.154.
 
Chandra Parr continues to be a model of consistency for the Aces.  Parr has appeared in 26 games so far this season.  She comes in to the weekend batting .333 with four home runs, six doubles, and 11 RBIs of her own.  Parr has also accumulated 30 total bases and 10 walks on the season. 
 
Drake comes in the series with a record of 11-11and a 2-1 mark in conference play.  At the plate Drake is led by Rebekah Schmidt who has a batting average of .356.  Schmitt also boasts two home runs and 13 RBIs.  Nicole Newman leads the Bulldogs on the mound with a record of 6-3.  Newman also leads her team with an ERA of 2.62.  Schmitt also leads her team with 72 strikeouts from the mound.

Evansville will finally see their first home action next weekend when they take on Illinois State.  This will be the seventh straight weekend that the Aces have been on the road.
