ST. LOUIS – For the second time this season, Purple Aces sophomore Kayla Katterhenry was named the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.
 
Katterhenry picked up the third victory of her career in exciting fashion last Tuesday afternoon.  A final round score of 73 put her in a tie for the top spot with Belmont's Katie Story at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate.  The playoff came down to the fifth hole where Katterhenry shot par to earn medalist honors.  In day one, she had a 72 before carding a 73 to finish with a 145. 
 
Her efforts helped the Aces take seventh place.  Overall, it is her third win in less than one calendar year as she was victorious at last year's Saluki Invitational and Bradley Invitational.  She recorded another top two finish at the Samford Intercollegiate this past weekend.  She finished in a tie for second place with scores of 74, 77 and 74 en route to a 225.
