EVANSVILLE, Ind. – On Sunday and Monday, the Purple Aces women's golf team will take part in the Indiana State Spring Invitational at The Country Club of Terre Haute in Terre Haute, Ind.
Both days will see one round of action with start times going off at 9 a.m. ET. Par each day will be 72 with the yardage checking in at 6,041.
Participating teams include: host Indiana State, Southern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Bradley, Evansville, Loyola, Dayton, Eastern Illinois, Western Illinois, South Dakota, Chicago State, Williams Woods and Rend Lake CC.
Cathy Doyle paced the UE women last weekend at the Bradley Invitational before finishing fourth with a 230. She ranked in the top five all tournament long before finishing with a 76 in the final round on her way to a score of 230. She finished just four strokes off the winning pace. Her efforts helped the Aces finish in fourth place in the team standings.
Kayla Katterhenry was one behind Doyle. She recorded a 77 in the final round to finish at 231. Taking 20th was Giulia Mallmann. Her low round of the event came on Saturday as she finished with a 245. Dana Hayden tied for 31st on the strength of a 255 while Maggie Camp was just behind with a 259.
