EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville women's basketball team had a lot of memorable moments in the 2014-2015 season.

The year began with a 72-68 win over Austin Peay in the season opener. Guard Khristian Hart tallied 13 points off the bench to help the Purple Aces start 1-0. Freshman guard Taloni Reese scored a career-high 11 points in the win.

After enduring a four game losing streak to complete November, UE responded by going on a four game winning streak to start December. The Aces began the streak with a 93-83 victory in overtime at Murray State on Dec. 3. Guard Sara Dickey scored a program record 37 points in the win. Evansville then held Miami (Ohio) to 41 points in another victory, outscored Oakland City 81-40 in the annual Kids Day game, and outlasted Troy 94-85 on Dec. 18.Guard Kenyia Johnson scored a career-high 14 points with four assists vs. the Trojans.

UE then suffered a pair of defeats to IUPUI and #7 Louisville. Guard Laura Friday knocked down a pair of threes at UL. The Aces then opened Missouri Valley Conference play with a 65-56 road win at Missouri State. The win was the first for the Aces at JQH Arena since 2007 and just the second win ever in Springfield, Mo.

After a road loss to the eventual MVC Champions, Wichita State, UE won four Valley games in a row. They limited Loyola to just 38 points in the MVC home opener, topped Bradley by 41, the largest MVC win in program history, and also recorded wins against Illinois State and Southern Illinois on the road. A former volleyball player, forward Hannah Owens converted her first made field goal versus the Salukis.

Injuries then limited the Purple Aces down the stretch falling in 11 of their last 12 games of the regular season. Despite the losses at the end of the year, Evansville completed the season on an upswing. The Purple Aces were the #7 seed in the MVC Tournament and advanced all the way to the Semifinals. UE edged #10 Illinois State 55-51 in the opening round game then won again on the next night with an 84-79 win over #2 Drake. Forward Peyton Langston made a game-saving stop at the end of regulation to force overtime as the Aces hit a program and MVC record 17 three-pointers in the victory.

Even though Evansville fell one game shy of the MVC championship game with a 75-66 loss to #3 Missouri State, UE still made their deepest Tournament run since 2009.

Evansville was 7-6 at the Ford Center this season, winning the first six home games of the year. They also strung 10 consecutive home wins dating back to last season.

Guard Kat Taylor won the 2015 Brady Comeback Scholarship Award after returning from a Ruptured Achilles in just five months. Forward Mallory Ladd grabbed her 500th career rebound as guard Sara Dickey also set the single season scoring mark with 602 points. Forward Sasha Robinson led the team in offensive rebounds (78).
