CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The University of Evansville women's soccer team (0-2-0) has their first road match of the 2015 regular season at Southeast Missouri State University (1-0-1) on Friday night. The match will be held at Missouri National Guard Field at Houck Stadium and begin at 6:30 p.m. CDT.

WHAT TO KNOW- Evansville is looking for their first win of the season
- The Aces have not gone winless in their first three matches of the season since 2011.
- UE has never allowed a goal in their three victories over SEMO, winning each contest 1-0.

THE OPPONENTThe Redhawks won their season-opening match 2-0 at Missouri S&T on Aug. 21 and then tied Northern Iowa 3-3 on Aug. 23.

HISTORYThe Aces are 3-3-3 all-time against the Redhawks including a 1-1-2 mark in Cape Girardeau. Evansville won last year's meeting 1-0 at McCutchan Stadium but played to a scoreless tie the last contest at Houck Stadium in 2012.

FIRST THINGS FIRSTThe University of Evansville women's soccer team has been off to a great start this season, outscoring their opponents 4-0 in the first half. Evansville jumped ahead 2-0 against Xavier on August 21 at the break and again 2-0 over UT-Martin at halftime on August 23.

SECOND HALFOn the other side, UE has been outscored 6-0 after halftime this season, yielding three goals to Xavier (one in overtime) and another three scores to UT-Martin. Last year, Evansville allowed just 10 total second half goals.

NATIONAL HONORSenior goalkeeper
Simone Busby missed the team's first two games competing for the Guyana National Team in CONCACAF Qualifying. They won 8-0 over St. Kitts and Nevis and then tied Cuba 1-1. Guyana advanced to the next round over Cuba on goal differential.Â

UP FOR THE CHALLENGEEvansville will play three teams that completed last season in the RPI Top 100. Those opponents are Illinois State (32), Miami (Ohio) (58), and Vanderbilt (96).

UPCOMING PROMOTIONSUE will have a Field of Dreams Uganda Fundraiser Game vs. Miami (Ohio) on Sun., Aug. 30. The Aces have a Military Appreciation / Wounded Warrior game with Belmont on Fri., Sept. 11. The annual Multiple Sclerosis match with homecoming on Sat., Sept. 26. Senior Day festivities are set for Thurs., Oct. 29.

HOSTING THE CHAMPIONSHIPEvansville is hosting the 2015 MVC Women's Soccer Championship this year. The semifinals will take place on Fri., Nov. 6 with the Championship match to take place on Sun., Nov. 8. All matches will be held at Arad McCutchan Stadium in Evansville, Ind.
