EVANSVILLE, Ind. –The Jayson Wiseman era of Aces Women's Tennis will begin this weekend as the team heads to Southern Illinois Edwardsville for the SIUE Fall Invite.  The Aces are coming off a season where they finished 11-9 and had an MVC mark of 3-4.

Wiseman comes to Evansville from Wright State University where he worked with both the men's and women's teams.  Wiseman helped with team travel, recruiting, and provided practice expertise.  Wiseman was also a volunteer assistant coach as Bowling Green State University from 2004-2007.

The Aces return Marina Moreno, Andjela Brguljan, and Kennedy Craig.  Moreno, who is the lone senior for the Aces, comes off a season where she finished with an overall record of 14-14.  Moreno split time throughout the season at flight two, three, and four singles.   Brguljan finished the 2014-15 season with an overall record of 11-12.  Brguljan also finished tournament play last fall with a record of 7-3.  Craig was able to finish her freshmen season with an overall record of 20-10, splitting time between flight three, four, and five singles.  Craig also posted a conference record of 4-3

Evansville added junior Elizabeth Mendes, sophomore Leah Helpingstine, as well as freshmen Doreen Crasta and Marina Darzyan to the roster this offseason.  Mendes and Helpingstine both joined the Aces as walk-ons this past fall.  Crasta is a native of Lubbock, TX and attended T Bar M Tennis Academy in Dallas, TX.  Darzyan joins the Aces from Russia.
