EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The first-ever on-campus fireworks display and athletic department yard sale highlight the 2015 University of Evansville Homecoming and Family Weekend festivities that are set for Saturday, September 26.
 
Homecoming will take place all weekend, running from Friday through Sunday.  Highlighting the weekend is the Forever Purple Carnival on Saturday from 2-6 p.m. on the East Terrace Lawn just outside of the Ridgway University Center.  Food, games and prizes will be at the event.
 
A great day of soccer will take place on the afternoon of the 26^th as the women take on Loyola at 3 p.m. before the men face Drake at 6 p.m.  Hall of Fame coaches Mick Lyon '89 and Fred Schmalz, along with members of the 1985 and 1990 NCAA final four teams, will be recognized at the men's match.
 
The yard sale, which runs from 2-4 p.m., will take place in the small gym inside the Carson Center.  A large selection of men's and women's items will be available including: team uniforms, warm-ups, t-shirts, hats and a variety of other equipment and apparel.  This is the first time the department has ever had a sale of this kind.  Everything will be priced to move with prices ranging from $5-20.
 
Following the men's soccer match, the night will be capped off with the first-ever fireworks show on the UE campus.  It will take place at approximately 8:15 p.m. following the completion of the men's soccer game.  Students, alumni, parents and all Aces fans are welcome.  For the full schedule of events, visit www.evansville.edu/alumni.
