Game Notes
The Aces (4-6) are coming off a defeat to eighth-ranked Louisville over the weekend, but the team has become a formidable force since a slow start to the season. The Aces have scored 65 or more points in all but one of the last seven games, becoming the second-best scoring team in the conference at 68.9 points per game.
It certainly comes as no surprise that all-time leading scorer Sara Dickey has led the charge once again. The senior out of Montezuma, Ind., leads the team with a 16.9-point average, but she's had some help as well, especially in the form of a fellow senior in Camary Williams. The Ft. Myers, Fla., product fills up the stat sheet, averaging 14.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.7 steals and 2.4 assists. Brooke Dossett, a junior out of nearby Vincennes University, is third on the team, kicking in 11.5 points and a team-best 3.3 assists.
Williams, who ranks second nationally in steals, leads the defensive charge for the Aces, while the senior post duo of Sasha Robinson and Ashley Hawkins has been pushed to do a good share of the rebounding. Robinson currently ranks third in the Missouri Valley with an 8.3 per-game average, and Hawkins came off the bench early this week to pull down a career-best 10 boards at Louisville.
Alabama A&M, on the other hand, will be looking to put a halt to a recent rough patch. The Lady Bulldogs are 2-6 on the year, with the wins coming over Concordia and Oakwood. The team is coming off its best performance of the season, hanging with Southeast Missouri on Monday night before a 30-point SEMO third quarter put the game, which ultimately ended 75-47, out of reach.
Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.
