TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – After a two-week rest period since the 2017 Missouri Valley Conference Championships, the University of Evansville men's and women's cross country teams head to Terre Haute to compete in the 2017 NCAA Division One Great Lakes Regional. on Friday.
The regional opens with the women's 6k race at 10:15 a.m. (CST) with the men's 10k race beginning at 11:15 a.m. (CST) at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, a course in which the Aces are quite familiar with. Evansville has already run the course once this season, competing in the John McNichol's Invitational on September 9.

The Aces last competed two weeks ago at the MVC Championships in Springfield, Mo. where both Evansville squads earned 10th-place finishes.
Junior Sienna Crews led the way for the Aces women's team at the conference championships, finishing 53rd among the 78 runner field. The Lincoln City, Ind. native finished the race in 19:14.76. Following Crews for the Aces was freshman Anna Lowry in 65th place. Lowry completed the 5k course in 20:01.58.
For the men, freshman Ethan Pice earned top honors at the MVC Championsips for the Aces, finishing in 55th place, just four seconds shy of a PR in a time of 27:34.03. Following Price was fellow freshman Dawson Hood in 57th. The Bloomington, Ind. native completed the 8k course in a time of 27:41.73.
