EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Evansville head men's basketball coach Marty Simmons has announced the signing of Marty Hill to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Purple Aces next season.
Hill heads to Evansville from Northeast Community College in Nebraska. The 6-5 guard is a native of Champlin, MN where he played at Champlin Park High School.
"Marty is a great young man with high character and great skill that will be a great addition to our program," Aces head coach Marty Simmons said. "He is a long, athletic and explosive player who will bring a great deal of versatility to us."
Last season at Northeast CC, Hill scored 14.8 points per game while recording 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists. He brings a solid shot from outside, shooting 42.7% from 3-point range.
"He is a gym rat who really wants to be coached as much as he can; he fits into our culture very well," Simmons added.
