EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Head coach Don Walters announced the University of Evansville men's and women's cross country schedule for the 2018 campaign.

"We're going to be a whole lot better. Especially on the women's side, we've brought a lot of really good student-athletes in, which is going to go along with both teams returning everyone from last season," said Walters. "Its going to be really nice to have the student-athletes we need to be successful."

The Purple Aces open the season on August 31 when they travel to compete in the Walt Crawford Open in Charleston, Ill. hosted by Eastern Illinois University. A week later, Evansville heads south to Huntsville, Ala. on September 8 for the UAH Chargers Open.

Following a weekend off from competition, UE returns to action at the Austin Peay Invite in Clarksville, Tenn. on September 22. On October 13, Evansville hosts its annual home meet, the UE Invitational, at Angel Mounds Cross Country Course. The Aces' home event will be the final regular season competition for UE.

Postseason action begins for Evansville with the Missouri Valley Conference Championships in Peoria, Ill. on October 27. The NCAA Great Lakes District Regional takes place on November 9 in Terre Haute, Ind., followed by the NCAA Championships in Madison, Wis. on November 17.
