Box Score OREM, Utah - The University of Evansville men's soccer team battled in its final match in Utah, falling to UNLV, 4-1, in Orem, Utah on Sunday afternoon.
"We played two very good teams this weekend that play two distinct styles and they beat us both in the same way," said Aces' head men's soccer coach Marshall Ray. "It's going to be a good learning experience for us. We have a lot of work to do on the training ground to get ourselves where we need to be."
The Rebels scored first on a pair of goals in quick succession. In the 15th minute, Marco Gonzalez opened the scoring in the match, recording the first goal of the game following a ball played over the top that Gonzalez finished. One minute later, Gonzalez scored again, this time on a pair of assists as he found the end of a cross.
