Women's Basketball hosts Illinois State to finish weekend

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Wrapping-up its home Missouri Valley Conference weekend, the University of Evansville women's basketball team welcomes Illinois State into Meeks family Fieldhouse at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

  • Back inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse for the first time in 2019, the Aces produced a total team effort in a 75-68 loss to Bradley on Friday evening.
  • Senior Kerri Gasper scored in double-figures for the third-straight contest with her team-best 17-point performance against the Braves.
  • Three other Aces finished in double-digits with sophomore Kayla Casteel and freshman Anna Newman recorded 13 points, while freshman Makayla Wallace tallied 11 points in the loss.
  • After shooting just 25% (4-16) from the field in the opening quarter, Evansville bounced back in the second period, hitting 61.5% (8-13) of its attempts from the field.
  • For the 11th time this season, Gasper played 30-or-more minutes in a game, playing all 40 against Bradley, marking the fourth game this season in which she did not leave the floor.
