Last Match: Drake 2, Evansville 0
- Evansville came out of the gate quickly, recording a pair of shots inside the 10th minute.
- It was Drake though that opened the scoring, earning a penalty kick in the 21st minute as Leroy Enzugusi converted for the Bulldogs.
- The Aces looked to equalized minutes later as freshman Nkosi Graham had his header blocked and fellow freshman Matic Pavlic saw his shot miss wide as the Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead to the half.
- The first moments of the second half tilted in the Aces favor as Evansville's aggression was rewarded with four corner kicks before th 56th minute.
- With the four corners, Evansville put three shots towards goal, but had all three blocked.
- In the 74th minute, Drake found its second goal of the night as quick play led to a goal by Istvan Wilhelms.
- Less than a minute after the Bulldogs goal, sophomore Ryan Harris nearly pushed the Aces back within a goal, but his shot was saved.
- Sophomore Jakub Hall also forced a save from Bulldog keeper Luke Anderson, but Evansville's late efforts came up short in the Aces' 2-0 loss.
- Evansville out-shot Drake, 15-13, in the match, but the Bulldogs had seven shots on-goal to three for Evansville.
Previewing the Matchup
- Evansville and Indiana are meeting for the 38th time in the series history with the Hoosiers holding a 3-4-3 advantage in the series.
- The Hoosiers captured a win in the last meeting between the two sides as Indiana defeated Evansville, 5-0, at Arad McCutchan Stadium on Sept. 21, 2018.
- The last match between the two that occurred at Bill Armstrong Stadium saw the then top-ranked Hoosiers pick-up a 4-0 win over the Aces on Oct. 3, 2017.
- The Aces last earned a win over Indiana on Nov. 25, 1990 when Evansville topped the Hoosiers, 1-0, in the third round of the NCAA Tournament in Evansville.
- The two sides have a long history of playing one another as the first meeting in series history featured a 1-0 Indiana win during the 1978 season.
- The Aces are in search of their first win since a 1-0 victory over UNC Asheville on Sept. 22. The last road win for Evansville came in a 4-3 victory over Bradley on Nov. 3, 2018 in the regular season finale.
- Evansville will see a familiar face on the pitch in cream and crimson on Tuesday. Former Ace Simon Waever has played in all 13 matches for the Hoosiers this year, contributing two assists.
- The Hoosiers have displayed a balanced offense all season with seven players recording two or more goals. Ian Black and Joshua Penn lead the attack for Indiana with three goals each.
- In goal for the Hoosiers, two different keepers have shared time. Sean Caulfield has played nearly 800 minutes with a 091 goals-against average, while Roman Celentano has seen 470 minutes in goal.
