EVANSVILLE – In search of points in the MVC standings, the University of Evansville men's soccer team heads for a matchup with Loyola on Wednesday night at 7 PM in Chicago, Ill.

Last Match: No. 10 Missouri State 2, Evansville 1

• The Bears jumped in front early with a goal as Missouri State scored in the fifth minute on a goal by Jack Denton.
• Evansville has multiple opportunities to equalize as Jakub Hall, Nkosi Graham, and Jesse Stafford-Lacey all recorded shots in the first half.
• Evansville recorded two shots on goal early in the second half as Stafford-Lacey and freshman Lucas Weir each had their shots saved.
• In the 59th minute, Missouri State doubled it's advantage with a goal by Matthew Bentley.
• The Aces pushed back with 25 minutes left as redshirt freshman Jakub Hall recorded his first collegiate goal to bring Evansville within one.
• The opportunities continued to build for Evansville as sophomore Ryan Harris put a pair of shots on-goal in the final 15 minutes, but Bears' goalkeeper Michael Creek turned both away.
• As time began to run thin, redshirt sophomore Davis Peck sent a shot towards goal that missed high as Missouri State held on for the 2-1 win.
• In the loss, Hall recorded four shots, including two on-goal, as Evansville out-shot Missouri State, 14-10.

Previewing the Matchup

• Evansville and Loyola are meeting for the 25th time with the Aces owning a 19-4-1 advantage in the series.
• The last matchup at Loyola Soccer Park came in a 3-0 win for the Ramblers on Oct. 20, 2018.
• The Aces have split the last four meetings with Loyola, including back-to-back wins in 2017 by 1-0 scores.
• Four of the last five matches in the series included one team earning a shutout.
• Evansville is searching for its first MVC win since a 4-3 thrilling win over Bradley in the regular season finale on Nov. 3, 2018.
• Loyola enters Wednesday's contest with an 8-3-3 overall record and a 3-1-3 mark in MVC play.  The Ramblers are coming off back-to-back ties and are unbeaten in their last seven matches dating back to a 2-1 overtime loss to Missouri State on Sept. 22.
• Aidan Megally has dominated the scoring for the Ramblers, scoring nine goals on the season, including four in MVC play.
• The Ramblers are led by Marcel Kampman in goal who has played all 709:45 for Loyola, allowing just seven goals and making 16 saves.
