Box Score DES MOINES, Iowa - In a road conference match, the University of Evansville fell to Drake, 1-0, in Des Moines, Iowa on Wednesday evening.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring in the 16th minute, earning a penalty kick that Erik Fahner converted to give Drake a 1-0 lead. Evansville created multiple first half opportunities in the opening half, taking a 3-2 lead in shots to the half, albeit trailing 1-0 on the scoreboard.

The second half once again belonged to Evansville in terms of shots. The Aces out-shot the Bulldogs in the second half, 6-3, before the match was stopped in the 78th minute due to a weather delay. After a nearly 45 minute delay, the match was called in the 78th minute due to weather. Because the match had passed the 70th minute, the match is ruled an official result as drake captures the 1-0 win.

Freshman Lucas Weir led the way for the Aces on the night, recording three shots.

Evansville returns to action on Sunday at 5 PM as the Aces host Bradley at Arad McCutchan Stadium.
