Full MVC Release
EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Following the MVC Championship quarterfinal appearance, the University of Evansville men's soccer team had three student-athletes honors by the Missouri Valley Conference, it was announced at the MVC Championship banquet on Thursday night.
Senior Jesse Stafford-Lacey, junior Raphaello Colasito, and freshman Ethan Garvey all received all-MVC honors. Stafford-Lacey was named second team all-MVC, Colasito was recognized as honorable mention all-MVC, and Garvey made the MVC all-freshmen team.
Stafford-Lacey secures his second-straight second team all-MVC honor after he led the Aces in 2019 with four goals. The Kerry, Ireland native earns the honor following being named to the MVC preseason team.
In his first season for Evansville, Colasito was impressive for the Aces along the back line. Colasito played in 14 games in 2019, making 12 starts.
A freshman from New Orleans, La., Garvey helped Colasito in solidify Evansville's backline. Garvey saw action in 13 games for the Aces, starting all but two matches. Against Bradley in the regular season finale on Saturday, Garvey scored his first collegiate goal.
