Alberts currently holds a 3.918 GPA as a biology major. As a member of the Aces' men's indoor and outdoor track and field teams, Alberts shined in 2018 and has continued to post strong performances early this season. At the Mastodon Invitational on January 20, Alberts broke his own school record in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.41 meters and earning the win.
Off the court, Alberts is a member of FIJI at UE, helping the fraternities charitable efforts. Each year, FIJI holds a Hot-Tub-a-Thon in which fraternity members rotate spending 24 hours in a hot tub to raise money for Easter Seals of Evansville. Since 2000, FIJI has helped raise over $100,000 for Easter Seals and turned a one-time event into a year-long effort. Alberts is also a member of Bi-Sci Club, serving as treasurer for the club.
