Last Game: Missouri State 88, Evansville 46 (Evansville, Ind., March 7)
- In its first contest of the final weekend of the regular season, Evansville dropped a contest with Missouri State, 88-46, on Thursday evening.
- The Bears used a 15-2 run in the first quarter to hold a 28-11 advantage after the opening period.
- Owning the advantage on the boards, Missouri State out-rebounded the Aces, 60-28, including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds.
- Senior Brooke Bishop paced Evansville, tying a season-high with 16 points in the contest, scoring in double-figures for the 11th time this season.
- Making her first start of the season, senior Tattenai Hall recorded two points, two rebounds, and a block for the Aces before fouling out.
- Leading Evansville on the boards, senior Kerri Gasper tallied seven rebounds, marking the fifth time in the last seven games that Gasper has recorded seven-or-more rebounds.
- Junior Kaylan Coffman was efficient offensively, going 3-4 from the field for eight points.
- Evansville was limited in its ability to get to the free-throw line, attempting a season-low four free throws against the Bears.
- In the loss, the Aces were held to less than 50 points for the ninth-time this season. Evansville is 0-9 when scoring less than 50 points, but is 4-15 when eclipsing 50 points.
Next Opponent: vs. Southern Illinois
- Evansville and SIU are meeting for the 60th time in series history.
- In the last meeting between the two sides, the Salukis earned a 67-47 win over the Purple Aces in Carbondale, Ill. on Jan. 4, 2019.
- Evansville is looking for its first win in the series with SIU since the 2016-17 season after the Salukis won both matchups a season ago.
- The most played matchup in UE program history, the series between the two dates back to the 1984-85 season.
Honoring the Seniors
- On Saturday, the Aces will honor five senior members of the team, including four student-athletes and one athletic trainer.
- Prior to the game, Stacey Chen, Kerri Gasper, Tattenai Hall, Marley Miller, and Brooke Bishop will be honored.
- The four student-athletes have combined to play in 304 games, score 2,313 points, and record 990 rebounds and 457 assists.
- Gasper leads the senior contingent with 1,135 career points, placing her in 13th all-time in program history.
- As a group, the four Aces' seniors have spent 7,812 minutes on the court for Evansville, equal to nearly 5.5 days.
