EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Purple Aces cross country squad starts the season at the Belmont Opener. The meet will run at Percy Warner Park – Vaughn's Creek Cross Country Course in Nashville, Tenn.

Keeping up with the Aces

• The women's race will kick off the night at 5 p.m., while the men will run at 5:30 p.m.
• The Aces return 19 between the men and women's squad and add 10 newcomers.
• Last time at the Belmont Opener, in 2017, the women where led by Anna Lowry with a 23^rd place finish on a 19:54.59 5K.
• Stanley Chepchieng was the pace setter on the men's squad with a 16:23.17 5K.
• At the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Championship Lowry put together a strong performance, finishing in 15^th with a personal best 17:55 5K race. Lowry was named all-Missouri Valley Conference honorable mention for her efforts.
• The Aces where picked in the MVC preseason poll ninth on the men's side and 10^th on the women's.
