TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Opening up Missouri Valley Conference play, the University of Evansville women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw on the road against Indiana State, Saturday night.
The Purple Aces battled for 110 minutes, recording 12 shots with seven aimed at goal. Jayme-Lee Hunter led the way for the Aces, recording a career high and team season best five shots with three on goal.
Hunter attempted three shots in the last 15 minutes of the first half with all three being potential game changers. Emily Ormson added two shots, along with Mikayla Harvey, Maggie Leazer, Sophia Rodil and Amanda DaSilva adding one shot each.
Posting her second shutout of the season, Michaela Till saved seven shots to keep the Sycamores out of goal. Till recorded her 220
th career save, which puts her in fifth place on the all-time saves list, just seven off of the number four spot.
UE will next head to Illinois State on Oct. 6 to take on the Redbirds.
