EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Purple Aces cross country squad takes the next step in the season at the North Alabama Cross Country Meet. The race will run at McFarland Park in Florence, Ala.
 

• The men's 8K race will kick off the meet at 8:30 a.m., before the women's 5K begins at 9:15 a.m.
• Last week UE opened up strong at the Belmont Opener. Anna Lowry paced the aces women's team with an impressive 18:35.99 sixth place overall finish. Stanley Chepchieng clipped a 16:49.65 race, finishing in 26th.
• As a team the women captured fourth palce overall with 138 points, while the men finished eighth with 170.
• The Aces return 19 between the men and women's squad and add 10 newcomers.
• At the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Championship Lowry put together a strong performance, finishing in 15^th with a personal best 17:55 5K race. Lowry was named all-Missouri Valley Conference honorable mention for her efforts.
