EVANSVILLE - The University of Evansville has announced the hiring of Robbe Tarver as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the University of Evansville men's soccer program following three seasons on staff at the University of Louisville.
Under the direction of current head coach John Michael Hayden and former head coach Ken Lolla, Tarver assisted in opposition scouting, daily operations of training, recruiting organization and travel coordination. In his time at Louisville, the program won its first ACC Championship (2018), and made trips to the Elite 8 (2017) and Sweet 16 (2019).
Previous to joining the Cardinals, Tarver served as the top assistant coach for three seasons at his alma mater, Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. During his tenure at Centre, Tarver served as the recruiting coordinator, and helped the Colonels capture their first Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament Championship and the program's sixth conference championship crown overall in 2016. Tarver also helped recruit the second 2x All-American in Centre's history (Alexander Garuba).
In his playing career, Tarver was a two time captain for the Colonels, achieving all-conference and all-region honors. He was invited to the USL Combine in 2014 and spent a season playing in Costa Rica for Juventud Escazuceña.
A Houston, Texas native, Tarver earned his BS in Religion at Centre College in 2014 and his Master's in Sports Administration from the United States Sports Academy in 2017.

Robbe will be a great addition to Evansville and will help continue the strong tradition of the program." – Ken Lolla, Former Head Men's Soccer Coach, University of Louisville
"I am thrilled for Robbe and his new coaching position. Robbe finished 6th in the nation in assists as a left back for us which alludes to his engine as a player. Robbe served as an assistant after graduation and it was clear he would become a successful college coach. Evansville got a good one!" – Jeb Burch, Head Men's Soccer Coach, Centre College
"Robbe has hit the ground running since the first day he stepped on campus. He is a tireless worker in the office and understands the type of student-athlete who fits the academic based environment here at the University of Evansville. Each head coach he spent time under could not say enough about his character and willingness to help the student-athletes he interacts with. I look forward to getting on the field with him this spring and seeing first hand the positive impact he will have on our players and the program. – Marshall Ray, Head Men's Soccer Coach, University of Evansville
