EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville track and field team gets set for the first meet of the 2020 season.

• The Purple Aces travel to Eastern Illinois to compete in the John Craft Invite. Events start at 9 a.m. with the men's weight throw, while running events start at 12:30 p.m. with the men's 60-meter hurdle prelims.
• The John Craft Invitational marks the first of five indoor meets for 2020.
• Entering the third season in the modern era of Aces track and field, UE looks to build on nine school records broken last indoor season.
• UE closed out last season with an impressive day at the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Anna Lowry put tighter a magnificent performance in the women's 5,000-meters, demolishing her program record by more than 30 seconds with a time of 17:09.18. On the men's side Stanley Chepchieng added points in the men's triple jump with a 13.91-meter leap.
