Know Your Opponents
Lipscomb (3-0): Lipscomb comes into the weekend after a sweep of Bowling Green last weekend. Brian Moore led the way for the Bisons during the opening series, hitting .417 with a team-high six RBI.

MTSU (0-3): The Blue Raiders dropped an opening-weekend series on the road at UNC this past weekend. MTSU nearly got the series win, losing game two, 2-1, and falling in the series finale, 5-4. Fausto Lopez paced MTSU in the first weekend of the season with a pair of doubles, while hitting .400.

Belmont (2-2): The Bruins earned a split of their first four games, taking one from Kansas and winning their last game Tuesday night over SIU. Brodey Heaton leads Belmont at the plate, hitting .429, while Tommy Crider recorded a team-best seven RBI on four hits.

Austin Peay (2-1): Austin Peay opened the season taking 2-1 from Eastern Michigan. The high-scoring series saw the Governors score 28 combined runs as Bobby Head went 6-11 from the plate.

Series Notes: The Aces and Golden Eagles don't have much of a history playing one another, meeting just three times. Evansville holds a 2-1 advantage in the series, but TTU won the last meeting, 10-2, in Cookeville, Tenn. on March 11, 2012.

Craig's Big Weekend: Junior Tanner Craig had an incredible weekend for the Aces against Tennessee Tech. In a season-opening road series at Tennessee Tech, junior Tanner Craig had an incredible weekend. Craig finished the weekend batting .727 (8-11) with four home runs, seven RBI, a double, eight hits, three walks, including an intentional walk to end the weekend. Twice this weekend, Craig hit two home runs in a game, including back-to-back homers in Sunday's series finale that helped the Aces build a 10-2 lead. All last season, Craig hit just five home runs in 197 at bats and has nearly matched that mark in just 11 at bats.

Home Sweet Home: The 2020 season will be the first for Evansville in its newly-renovated stadium. Now known as German American Bank Field at Charles H. Braun Stadium, included in the renovations are a full Astroturf field, padded walls through- out the entire stadium with new fence lines down the first and third base lines, dugout and bullpen renovations as well as a new LED scoreboard.

McMahill On the Mound: After battling injuries through much of 2019, senior Jake McMahill impressed in his first outing of 2020. McMahill pitched five innings on Sunday against Tennessee Tech, allowing just one run, while striking out six and not walking a batter.

Eight-or-More: Evansville's offense had no issues generating hits this weekend in Cookeville, Tenn. The Aces recorded eight-or-more hits in all three games, including a weekend-high of nine hits in game two of the series. Last season, the Aces tallied less than eight hits 21 times.
