EVANSVILLE - After an evenly played game, the University of Evansville dropped a home contest to Indiana State, 70-58, on a fourth-quarter run by the Sycamores on Friday evening inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse.
Evansville was led by sophomore A'Niah Griffin, who scored a career-high 17 points to lead the way for the Aces. On the other side, Indiana State was powered by Caitlin Anderson, who finished with 27 points off the bench.
The fourth quarter proved to be the difference on the night as the Sycamores out-scored the Aces by 11 in the final stanza.
Both sides sputtered offensively in the first quarter as the two sides mustered just 25 combined points and shot 27% and 29% from the field, respectively. The second quarter saw a small uptick in offense as Evansville shot 50% (7-14) from the field in the period, helping the Aces tie the game at 27 at the half.

The bench for the Sycamores came up huge as Indiana State saw 44 of its 70 points come from players off the bench.
The Aces get six days off before starting the final weekend of the regular season against Illinois State on Thursday, March 5 at 6 PM inside Meeks Family FIeldhouse.
