EVANSVILLE - After an exceptional freshman season, University of Evansville women's basketball's Abby Feit has been named to HerHoopStats Fab 15 Freshmen, it was announced in a release on Thursday.
Feit's banner year included leading the Aces in points, rebounds, blocks, minutes played, and three-pointers made and becoming the first freshman to lead the team in scoring since Sara Dickey in 2013-14. Feit averaged 13.7 points per game and 8.4 rebounds per contest, while seeing the floor for an average of 36.6 minutes per game.
The Fab 15 Freshmen team includes players that were selected from the nation's 32 conference freshmen of the year recipients. These 15 players dominated their conferences and ranked highly among freshmen and all players in the nation in various statistical categories.
Feit was honored as MVC Freshman of the Year, the first Ace to earn the award since Sarah Dickey in 2013-14 and the first outright winner of the award from Evansville since Shinko Ono in 1999.
Adding to her other honors, Feit was also named honorable mention all-MVC and a member of the MVC all-freshman team.
