GRANDOVER, N.C. – In Tuesday's final round of the Grandover Invitational, it was Alyssa McMinn leading the University of Evansville women's golf team with a score of 84 at Grandover Resort.
Final Results
McMinn's 84 in the third round gave her a final score of 242. She tied for 37
th in the final standings. Behind her was Magdalena Borisova. Wrapping up her first collegiate match, Borisova carded an 85 in the last round. Coupled with an 83 and 82 from day one, she wrapped up the event with a 250 and tied for 50
th.
Allison Enchelmayer completed the invitational four behind Borisova. A tally of 87 in the final 18 holes saw her finish with a 254. Carly Frazier was next for the Purple Aces. She posted her low round of the tournament, carding an 86 on her way to a total of 265. Caitlin O'Donnell did not play the final round.
Evansville came home in 12
th place in the final team standings. East Tennessee State extended its lead on the way to the team championship. Their 3-round score of 884 was 30 strokes in front of the rest of the pack. South Dakota took second with a 914 while William & Mary was third with a 921.
Tereza Melecka of ETSU was the medalist. She defeated teammate Alex Crafton by five shots thanks to a 4-under 68 in the last round.
