EVANSVILLE, Ind. –  The University of Evansville swimming and diving program prepares for the third meet of the season against conference foe Southern Illinois on Friday.

• UE will take on Southern Illinois Friday, with diving starting at 10 a.m. and swimming events at 1 p.m.
• The Purple Aces are coming off another solid performance a week ago at Indiana State, where both the men and women took wins over Valparaiso.
• Junior Maggie Franz was recognized as Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Week on Wednesday.
• Franz dove her way to the top spot on the 3-meter board, last Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind., with a score of 235.95, 32 points better than the next diver. Franz also took second place on the 1 meter-board, scoring 242.40.
• Sarah Jahns and Maya Cunningham also highlighted the day for UE last Saturday, both smashing program records.
• Jahns pushed herself to the top of the record books in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:16.23, topping her previous personal record by over two seconds.
• Cunningham earned the new school record in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:03.19.
