Final Results
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville Purple Aces took on visiting Southern Illinois swimming and diving team on Friday.
UE fell with a men's score of 130-93 and the women's 134-80.
Freshman, Jackson Caudill had another impressive weekend with a time of 9:42.16 in the 1000-yard freestyle, finishing first. Caudill also won the 500-yard freestyle (5:03.71).
Riccardo Di Domenico took two events. First, he set the fifth all-time school record and new pool record in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:40.10. Before winning the 100-yard butterfly (49.44), also a new pool record.
Sarah Jahns took the top spot in two events, the 1000-yard (10:22.72) with a new pool record and 500-yard freestyle (5:03.71).
Maya Cumming swam in the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.35, giving her first place. This time moved her to third all-time in the record books, also a new pool best.
Reed Slayden scored 161.1 on the 3-meter board, while Maggie Franz posted a 234.52 on the women's side.
The Aces will get a second chance against the Salukis in Carbondale on March 19.
