Outdoor Championship Up Next for Track & Field

EVANSVILLE, Ind. –  The University of Evansville track and field team gets set for the 2021 Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championship, hosted by Southern Illinois.
  • The three-day championship will begin at 10 a.m. CT on Friday, May 14 with the men's decathlon, before field events beginning at 12 p.m. and events on the track starting at 6 p.m.
  • Saturday's festivities begin again at 10 a.m. CT with the multi-events and on Sunday the championship will conclude with the final day starting at 11:30 a.m. with the triple jump.
  • Anna Lowry highlights the efforts for the Purple Aces. Starting in the 10,000-meter run, which she already holds the program record. Lowry has the second fastest 10K in the MVC this season and 25th in the NCAA East Region at 34:44.37.
  • Lowry is coming off the first ever MVC championship in UE history in the Indoor meet, where she took the 5,000-meter title and reset the school record to 17:06.02.
  • Trey Riggs sits within scoring position in the 110-meter huddles at a 14.48  time, which is the eighth fastest in the MVC this year.
  • Michael Boots has the ninth best discus attempt in the league this year with a 49.74-meter record breaking attempt, set last week at the Pacesetter Invitational.
  • Justus Donaldson comes into the championship with the third best javelin throw in the MVC at 49.39-meters.
  • All three days of the MVC Outdoor Championship will be broadcast on ESPN, starting at 5:50 p.m. on Friday, 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, and 12:50 p.m. on Sunday.
