EVANSVILLE - A standout on the University of Evansville women's basketball team from 1989-93, Krista Blunk has made a career in sports broadcasting following her graduation.
14th on the all-time scoring list for the Aces, Blunk tallied 1,123 points in her four seasons at Evansville, nearly averaging double-digits in her final three campaigns. Blunk has built an impressive resume as a broadcaster, appearing on many of the largest sports networks in the US and will continue that with the broadcasting of four sports during this year's Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Broadcasting from NBC headquarters in Connecticut, Blunk will update Aces fans with a behind-the-scenes look of her broadcasting, which will require her to alter her sleep schedule and mirror the schedule of broadcasters and Olympic athletes who are on the ground in Tokyo, a city with a 13-hour time difference from Eastern time.
With Olympic opening ceremonies taking place in the early hours of Friday morning for much of the United States, Blunk's schedule will shift into overdrive. As it becomes available, Blunk's broadcasting schedule will be posted below. All times are central.
