EVANSVILLE - In the midst of a three-game road swing, the University of Evansville women's basketball team takes on Bradley on Sunday afternoon at 2 PM in Peoria, Ill.
Previewing the Matchup: Bradley
- Evansville and Bradley are meeting for the 59th time in series history with the Braves owning a 37-21 advantage in the all-time series.
- Meeting last just three weeks ago, the Aces captured the first MVC win of head coach Robyn Scherr-Wells career with a 74-73 victory over the Braves on Jan. 7 inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse.
- Sunday's game inside the Rennaisance Coliseum will be the first between the Aces since Jan. 3, 2020. Prior to hosting the Braves earlier this year, Evansville and BU played both of last season's games inside Meeks due to COVID-19 scheduling guildelines, and wrapped-up the 2019-20 season series in Evansville, giving UE four-straight home games in the series.
- Bradley enters the Sunday showdown after an 83-63 loss to Indiana State on Friday night. The Braves currently sit in 10th in the conference standings, just one game back of the Aces for the ninth spot.
One of the Country's Best
- Junior Abby Feit is one of the country's best players period and has the stats to back it up.
- Feit is one of just 17 players in the nation to average a double-double and is one of two in The Valley to do so, along with SIU's Abby Brockmeyer.
Griffin Adds Intensity Off the Bench
- Coming off the bench in 2021-22, senior A'Niah Griffin has made a significant impact for the Aces this season.
- In just over 15 minutes per contest, Griffin has added scoring pop (6.9 points per game), while also bring intensity and pressure to the Aces press defense, recording 11 steals.
- Griffin matched a season-high on Friday night against Illinois State, finishing second on the team with 14 points.
