EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The University of Evansville swimming and diving program will host its end-of-the-year Team Awards Ceremony on Sunday, April 10 at 1:00 p.m. inside of the Meeks Family Fieldhouse on the UE campus. The Ceremony is free and open to the public.
Beverages and desserts will be provided. No admission cost is necessary, but donations to the swimming & diving program will be accepted and are greatly appreciated. Donations can be made directly on-line at
www.evansville.edu/give/swimming. Family, friends, alumni and supporters who are interested in attending the Team Awards Ceremony should make sure to register on-line at
uealumnionline.com/2022SDAwards.
The Team Awards Ceremony will also come as part of Pep & Vim Week at UE, and swimming and diving supporters should look out for more information on the #SupportYourSport program during Pep & Vim Week, with the opportunity for the most supported program at UE to receive a $5,000 bonus gift again this year. Last year, swimming & diving took home the bonus award, with that bonus going directly to the swimming and diving program.
The UE swimming and diving program just recently concluded a record-setting year in which the Purple Aces broke various school records 25 different times, produced 11 all-conference performers, and both teams earned CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors. Sophomore Alon Baer (Gesher Haziv, Israel) also produced an NCAA 'B Cut' at the Mid-American Conference Championships, joining former Purple Aces Credence Pattinson and Nikola Kalabic as the only UE males to produce an NCAA 'B Cut' time.
