EVANSVILLE - Rivals for nearly half a century, the University of Evansville men's soccer team welcomes in 24th-ranked Xavier to renew the series at 6 PM on Tuesday night at Arad McCutchan Stadium in Evansville.

Long-time foes in the Midwest Collegiate Conference, the Aces and Musketeers are meeting for the 27th time in Tuesday's contest with UE owning a 20-3-3 advantage in the all-time series. The two sides last met during the 2016 campaign with Xavier earning a 3-1 home victory. Evansville comes into the contest unbeaten in its first five games for the first time since 2008, following a 2-0 victory over SIUE on Saturday night. The 24th-ranked Musketeers also enter the midweek matchup without a loss, coming fresh off a 2-2 draw with Seton Hall in Big East action.

The Aces got two more goals from sophomore sensation Nacho Diaz against the Cougars on Saturday, lifting the Spaniard's season total to six through five matches. Diaz's six goals are the most in a season by an Ace since Ian McGrath tallied 12 in 2017. Diaz leads the nation in goals per game, averaging 1.2 per match, and points per match with 2.6 per contest.

Graduate goalkeeper Alex Vidizzoni has dominated between the posts for the Aces in five matches this season.  Vidizzoni is second in The Valley in shutouts with three, while holding the third-best goals-against average with a 0.60 GAA, the 22nd-best mark in the nation.
