EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Thanks to the incredible generosity from supporters, alumni, friends, and family, University of Evansville Athletics saw an impressive $134,757 raised during its annual #SupportYourSport week of giving. Baseball raised the most funds during the week to win the friendly competition between the teams for the fourth consecutive year, taking home a prize of a team meal and Nike swag courtesy of UE President Christopher Pietruszkiewicz.
The $134,757 is the second-highest total in the campaign's history. Baseball claimed the top spot with $47,227 raised, while men's soccer finished second with $22,560 and swim & dive finished third with $17,015. Three additional programs, women's basketball, women's soccer, and men's basketball, raised over $10,000 during the campaign.
"The Support Your Sport campaign is a great reminder of the generosity and pride that define our Purple Aces community. Because of you, our student-athletes now have more resources, more opportunities, and more belief in what we're building, " said Director of Athletics Dr. Ziggy Siegfried. "Thank you for investing in our programs and helping elevate the Aces experience across every sport!"
The campaign also saw a bevy of new supporters join the UE Athletics supporter base, with 34 new donors making contributions.
