TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Aces dropped their third conference game on Saturday versus Indiana State.
Both teams started strong defensively, only allowing a total of nine shots in the first half. Evansville's Bri Chirpich added four saves to her season total which now reaches 35.
Taylor Johnson and Brooklyn Robinson created the first two offensive opportunities with back to back shots which were both blocked. Indiana State broke the stalemate in the 37' with a goal from Peyton Wetzel off an assist from Avery Oergel and Meagyn Riffle. With the loss Evansville falls to 2-5-1 and 0-3 in the MVC.
Women's Soccer returns to the pitch next Saturday October 10 at 6 PM in Nashville, Tennessee against Belmont.
