Aces Welcome Illinois State Sunday for Play4Kay Game

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville women's basketball team plays the second game of a four-game homestand on Sunday, welcoming the Illinois State Redbirds to Meeks Family Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 3 PM.

- Sunday's game marks Evansville's Play4Kay game
- Play4Kay games unite coaches, players, officials, and fans in the fight against all cancers affecting women
- Play4Kay was established by legendary NC State Head Coach Kay Yow, who passed away in 2009 due to breast cancer. By playing this game, we help honor her legacy and play for the women whose lives have been affected by cancer
- Fans are encouraged to wear pink to support the cause

- Sunday's matchup marks the 65th all-time meeting between Evansville and Illinois State
- The Redbirds lead the all-time series, 36-17
- Illinois State captured an 82-71 victory in the two teams' meeting in the Normal earlier this season

- Forward Georgia Cox continued to establish herself as a formidable post presence on Friday against Bradley, scoring 20 points
- Cox added three rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal against the Braves
- Cox has scored in double figures in six of the last 10 games, including two 20-point performances

Freshman Phenom
- Freshman Sydney Huber matched a season-high with 18 points against Bradley on Friday night
- Huber connected on four three-pointers against the Braves and ranks fifth in the MVC with 50 three point field goals this season
- Huber has been increasingly vital in MVC play, ranking second on the team with 10.6 ppg while playing 31.5 minutes per game

Scouting the Opponent
- Illinois State enters Sunday's game with a 14-10 record and an 8-5 record in MVC play
- The Redbrds sit in fourth place in the MVC standings, a half game ahead of UNI
- Illinois State suffered an 84-60 loss at SIU on Friday
- Offensively, Illinois State is led by Doneelah Washington, scoring 16.5 ppg
