EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Friday's action at the 2026 Missouri Valley Conference Swimming and Diving Championships saw five Purple Aces set personal records with four of those times ranking in the top ten in program history.
Friday Results
Making the biggest leap into the top ten was Logan Tenison. In the 100-back prelims on Friday morning, Tenison swam a personal record of 49.44, which marked the fourth-fastest time in program history. He finished 11
th. In the same event, Ben Morse recorded a 50.68 to mark his fastest time.
Joao Guiherme had a stellar effort in the 100-breaststroke. He opened the day with a 56.12 in the prelims before resetting his PR in the finals. His 56.03 was his top personal time and ranks him 5
th in the UE record books.
In Friday's finals of the 100-backstroke race, Ane Madina Garate and Jadyn Dauphinais both etched their name into the record books while setting their PR's. Madina Garate swam a 57.24 in the finals. Her time was 8
th-best in the Aces record books. Just behind her was Jadyn Dauphinais who posted a 57.40. Her time was 9
th on the UE all-time list. The duo finished 21
st and 22
nd, respectively.
Levi McKinney enjoyed a strong day in the 3-meter dive. His 284.30 gave him a 7
th place finish in the prelims. In the evening finals, McKinney improved his score to 306.20, which secured him a 7
th-place finish.
