EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The 5-game homestand continues Friday when the University of Evansville softball team plays host to Murray State at Tri-State Orthopaedics Field at James and Dorothy Cooper Stadium. Friday's doubleheader begins at 2:30 p.m. with Saturday's single game set for a 2 p.m. first pitch; all three games will be on ESPN+.

Another No-No
- After opening the season with a no-hitter against Maine, Kate Ridgway duplicated the feat against Indiana State
- Ridgway struck out four batters in six innings as she kept the Sycamores hitless
- Her first no-hitter against Maine was a 4-1 decision in the Heart of Georgia Classic
- With 68 strikeouts on the season, Ridgway is 2nd in the league while her 6.74 K/7 innings is fourth
- Ridgway picked up her second win of the season against USI where she struck out a career-high 10 batters in 6 1/3 innings of work

Another Home Run       Â
- With her team trailing 2-1 in game two against Indiana State, Brooke Voss hit a 2-run homer and her team never looked back as they earned the doubleheader sweep
- It marked her fifth home run of the season, which are tied for 8th in the MVC
- Other stat rankings for Voss include total bases (10th | 48), slugging percentage (T-13th | .600), runs (T-15th | 18), extra-base hits (T-10th | 11)
- Voss' season batting average of .313 is second on the team and she is batting .340 over the last 14 contests

Top Mark
- Alexis Tucker struck out a season-high seven batters in the win over Indiana State in game two of the doubleheader
- Just as impressive is that the seven K's came in just 4 1/3 innings on the way to her third win of the season
- Tucker earned her first UE win against Miami Ohio tossing a complete game before earning her second victory on the road at Central Arkansas

MVC Newcomer of the Week
- Emma McDonald was named the MVC Newcomer of the Week on Feb. 24 after batting .444 in the tournament at Central Arkansas
- She has been on a solid streak as of late, going 4-for-7 in her last three games
- McDonald went 2-3 with two RBI in the game two win over Indiana State and had the clinching hit to seal the run rule win
- She has started all 25 games this year
