EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Evansville head volleyball coach Zach Weinberg has announced the addition of Morgan Caba as a graduate assistant with the Purple Aces program.
Â
"Adding Morgan to our staff is a huge win for Evansville Volleyball. She brings a drive and a fire that will benefit this program immediately, and we can't wait to get her integrated into the team," Weinberg said. "She will work immediately with our backcourt players, and I know her vast experience in her playing days will pay dividends immediately for that young group. Welcome to the Purple Aces, Morgan!"
Â
The Georgetown, Ky. native brings experience as both a student-athlete and coach to the UE program. Last season, Caba played for Marshall University where she helped the Thundering Herd make its first Sun Belt Conference Tournament appearance.
Â
Prior to her tenure at Marshall, Caba played for West Virginia State University. In 2024, her WVSU team captured its first-ever Mountain East Conference Tournament Championship while advancing to play in the Atlantic Regional of the NCAA Division II Tournament. Caba earned All-MEC Second Team accolades and was ranked nationally in aces per set. She opened her college career at Bellarmine where she was part of the Knights first A-Sun Tournament berth.
Â
Caba has gained valuable coaching experience over the last three years. She served as the Co-Head Coach of the 15 Elite team with the Mountain Monsters Volleyball Club from December of 2024 through May 2025. During that time, she gave private lessons for all ages within the club and hosted weekly clinics for all age groups and skill levels. Her first coaching tenure came with the 13 Regional team at the Kentucky-Indiana Volleyball Academy (KIVA). As an assistant coach in 2023, she conducted lessons and weekly clinics.
Â
She earned her Bachelor's in Biology: Plant and Soil Science from West Virginia State in 2025 and is working towards Master's Certification in Data Analytics in Healthcare at Marshall.
