LOUISVILLE – The University of Evansville track & field team completed day two of competition at the Clark/Woods Invitational on Thursday, highlighted by Taylor Johnson (Evansville, Ind./Reitz) breaking the program record in the 400 meter hurdles.
Women
Johnson broke her own program record in the 400 meter hurdles, taking eighth in a 37-participant field with a time of 1:01.51.
Avery Stephens (Newburgh, Ind./Castle) also had a strong showing, placing seventh of 33 in the 5000 meters with a time of 18:00.90.
Men
In the high jump, Brody Riggs (Fort Branch, Ind./Gibson Southern) placed fifth with a mark of 1.83 meters. Riggs also competed in the 400 meter hurdles, placing 25th with a personal best time of 59.53.
Two Aces competed in the 800 meters, led by Tommaso Losma (Lombardia, Italy Liceo Scientifico David Maria Turoldo, Zogno (Bg) placing 18th with a time of 1:54.81 and Jake Antibus (Switz City, Ind./White River Valley) placing 34th with a personal best of 1:56.53.
In the 200 meters, Josiah Hoehn (Hazel Crest, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) placed 25th with a time of 21.65.
Andrew Potter (Warsaw, Ind./Warsaw Community) placed 24th in the 5000 meters with a time of 16:04.61.
