Baseball Hosts Murray State to Close Regular Season

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville baseball team closes out the regular season this weekend, hosting the Murray State Racers. First pitch for Thursday's series opener is set for 6 p.m.

New Role, No Problem
- Having spent most of the season as one of Evansville's top relief pitchers, Chris McCormack made his first start of the year on Sunday at Valpo and turned in a gem
- McCormack blanked the Beacons over seven innings to lead the Aces to a series victory and clinch a berth in the MVC Tournament 
- In MVC play, McCormack boasts a 2.84 ERA over 25.1 innings, striking out 29
