BLOOMINGTON/TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The University of Evansville track & field team completed their final tune-ups before next week's MVC Championships on Friday, competing in the Billy Hayes Invitational and the Sycamore Open. The day was highlighted by Holland Morris (Florence, Ky./Randall K. Cooper) breaking the women's javelin record with a mark of 35.05 meters.
 
Billy Hayes Invitational

Women 
Lissa Willis (Vincennes, Ind./Vincennes Rivet) competed for the Aces in the 100 meters hurdles, placing seventh with a time of 16.32.
 
In the 200 meters, Josie Seehafer (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Eagan) placed eighth at 26.49, while Mallory Hagan (Henderson, Ky./Henderson County) placed 14^th at 29.06. Seehafer also competed in the 400 meters, placing 22^nd with a time of 59.17. Finally, Seehafer competed in the long jump, taking eighth at 5.33 meters.
 
In the 400 meter hurdles, Tristen Thomas (York, Pa./West York) placed 10^th at 1:10.81. Thomas took second in the triple jump with a mark of 10.68 meters, while
Lily Gargano (Hudson, Fla./Vivay) took third at 9.76 meters.
 
Chase Hayes (Noblesville, Ind./Western) secured a top-five finish in the 1500 meters, placing fourth with a time of 4:36.00. In the 3000 meters, Kyndall Anthis (Patoka, Ind./Princeton Community) took eighth at 10:59.95.
 
Two Aces competed in discus, with Emma Bertel (Franklin, Ind./Franklin Community) taking 10^th with a mark of 37.36 and Morris taking 11^th at 27.88 meters. Morris had a strong showing in the javelin, taking third and breaking the program record with a mark of 35.05 meters. Bertel took sixth with a toss of 25.29 meters. In the hammer throw, Gwen Darrah (Cleveland, Ohio/Orange) placed ninth with a throw of 47.65 meters, while Jillian Miller (Boonville, Ind./Boonville) took 12^th with a mark of 32.28 meters.

Men
Josiah Hoehn (Hazel Crest, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) had a strong showing in the 100 meters, placing second with a time of 10.65, while Connor Shin (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington North) placed 20^th at 11.07. Shin also competed in the 200 meters, placing 18^th with a time of 22.31.
 
In the 400 meters, Kadin McAllister (Lilburn, Ga./Parkview) placed 12^th with a time of 50.88.
 
In the 110 meter hurdles, Brody Riggs (Fort Branch, Ind./Gibson Southern) led three Aces with an eighth place finish, while Hoehn placed ninth at 15.41 and Tristin DeTalente (Evansville, Ind./North) placed 11^th at 16.24. DeTalente also competed in the 400 meter hurdles, placing ninth with a time of 59.04.  
 
Tommaso Losma (Lombardia, Italy/Liceo Scientifico David Maria Turoldo, Zogno (Bg) placed 18^th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.80. In the 1500 meters, Rafael Rodriguez (Segovia, Spain/Colegio Claret) placed ninth in the invite with a time of 3:48.14, while Tanner Spence (Carmi, Ill./Carmi) placed 22^nd in the collegiate race at 4:09. 63.
 
In the discus, Cole Johnson (Salem, Il./Salem Community) placed 10^th at 40.62 meters, while Johnson also placed sixth in the javelin at 45.29 meters. In the shot put, Drew Aaron (Mount Vernon, Ind./Mount Vernon) took 16^th with a mark of 12.50 meters.
 
Antwaun Powell (Ringgold, Ga./Heritage) competed in the long jump, placing eighth at 6.01 meters. Powell also competed in the triple jump, placing third at 12.00 meters, while Judge Nguyen (Farmington Hills, Mich./Noth Farmington) placed second at 12.02 meters.
 
Evansville's 4x100 meter relay team of Nguyen, Hoehn, Shin and Myles Terry (Evansville, Ind./North) placed sixth at 42.13.
 
Sycamore Open

Women 
Kyleigh Wolf (Columbus, Ind./Columbus North) took eighth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:27.44.
 
In the 1500 meters, Amick McClelland (Quincy, Ill./Quincy) placed fifth with a time of 4:49.26 and Avery Stephens (Newburgh, Ind./Castle) took eighth at 4:54.05.
 

Men
Four Aces competed in the 800 meters, led by Jake Antibus (Switz City, Ind./White River Valley) in sixth at 1:55.88. Owen Cuplin (Hampshire, Ill./Hampshire) placed 11^th at 1:57.62, while Hayden Wannemuehler (Evansville, Ind./Mater Dei) took 14^th at 2:02.18 and Alejandro Navarrete (Mogadore, Ohio/Mogadore) took 16^th with a time of 2:14.25.
 
Three Aces competed in the 1500 meters, led by Nathan Campbell (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington North) with a fifth-place finish at 4:03.07. Andrew Potter (Warsaw, Ind./Warsaw Community) took ninth at 4:09.20, and Nathan Whitehead (Vincennes, Ind./South Knox) took 10^th at 4:09.99.
 
In the 5000 meters, Oliver Wilgocki (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) secured a third place finish at 16:31.87.
 
Beau Baldwin (Mount Vernon, Ind./Mt. Vernon) placed 12^th in the hammer throw at 46.58 meters.
