Weekend Recap
- Evansville opened the season at the Bellarmine Classic in Louisville
- UE fell to Purdue Fort Wayne and Rutgers in four sets before dropping the weekend finale to Bellarmine in straight sets
- Lyla Fisher led the team with 3.45 kills per set in the opening three matches including her top tally of 15 against Rutgers
 
Stellar Start
- Freshman Lyla Fisher paced the offense in her first weekend of collegiate action
- After posting 12 kills in the opener versus PFW, Fisher added 15 against Rutgers before completing the weekend with 11 at Bellarmine
- Her average of 3.45 kills/set is tied for 3rd in the MVC while her hitting mark of .284 is 20th
 
Efficient Weekend
- Ryan Scheu wrapped up the first weekend of the season with 2.10 kills per set while hitting a team-best .364
- Scheu's hitting mark has her 6th in the MVC
- The sophomore had 8 kills in the opener versus the Mastodons before recording 9 against Rutgers
 
Matching Total
- Makenzie Miller was limited to 15 sets as a freshman in 2025 and completed the season with a total of 9 blocks
- It did not take long for Miller to match that tally in 2026 as she completed the opening weekend with nine blocks including two solo and seven block assists
- Against Rutgers, Miller had four block assists and a solo
 
Scouting the Opposition
- SEMO opened the season with a home tournament over the weekend as they fell to Western Kentucky twice along with a single match against #25 Oregon to fall to 0-3
