MUNCIE, Ind. – Andres Rodriguez and Michael Rosman are tied for 21^st following the opening day of the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational at Delaware Country Club. The duo paced the University of Evansville men's golf team, who are tied for 9^th with one round remaining.

Rodriguez opened play with a 3-over 73 on Saturday before carding an even 70 to wrap up the day with a 143. Rosman matched Rodriguez' tally. He started the weekend with a 1-over 71 and would finish the second 18 with a 2-over 72. Third on the team is Miguel Sobrado who started the tournament with a 5-over 75 before tallying an even 70 in the second 18. Standing at 5-over, Sobrado is tied for 39^th.
 
Next up was Alberic Le Bos-Niclot. Scores of 73 and 74 have him tied for 57^th at 7-over. Julian Kiessling rounded out the squad with a 2-round tally of 157. Bryce Conlee competed as an individual and posted scores of 73 and 76 in the first two rounds.
 
With a 555, Butler leads the team standings by two over Ball State and 10 over Howard. Luke Johnston of BSU is the individual leader. Rounds of 71 and 64 gave him a 135 for the day. He leads the field by one. Evansville is tied for 9^th with a 578. The Purple Aces are one out of a 7^th-place tie and just five strokes outside the top five.
