EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville men's soccer team welcomes No. 22 Louisville to Arad McCutchan Stadium on Tuesday night for a midweek matchup. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Last Time Out
Evansville earned its first result of the season on Friday night, battling Kentucky to a 1-1 draw in Lexington. Alejandro Fernandez opened the scoring in the 12th minute with his first career goal as an Ace, firing a right-footed shot into the bottom-right corner to give Evansville an early 1-0 advantage.
Kentucky controlled much of the possession and held a 10-3 advantage in shots at halftime, but Evansville's defense limited the Wildcats to shots that failed to find the target and preserved the lead. Hugo Amo made two saves on the night, while the Aces recorded five blocked shots to keep Kentucky off the scoreboard.
The Wildcats found the equalizer in the 74th minute, setting up a back-and-forth battle in the final 15 minutes. Evansville created several late opportunities, including a Rodrigo Zambrana header in the 87th minute, but neither team could find a game-winning goal as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Tuesday marks the 19th all-time meeting between Evansville and Louisville. The Aces lead the all-time series 11-6-1 and hold a 7-2-0 advantage when playing in Evansville. The teams met last season in Louisville, where Evansville earned a 3-1 victory.
