2008 – Versatile player who was one of the first players off the bench during much of the season...brought energy to the team...primarily a wing midfielder...sixth on the team in shots, with 21, including six shots on goal...made assists in victories against Butler, Valparaiso, Centenary and Eastern Illinois...combines good speed and ball skills.

2007 – Scored three goals despite taking only five shots...can help the Aces up front or on defense...starter in four of the final six matches...scored the overtime goal to beat UMKC 1-0...tallied a goal in a 4-1 win over Eastern Illinois...scored in UE’s MVC Tournament quarterfinal tie against Missouri State, and later added a shootout goal that helped the Aces advance to the semifinals.

2006 – Played in nine matches and improved throughout his freshman season...versatile player who saw action on defense and in the midfield...scored his first collegiate goal Oct. 3 in 2-1 victory over UMKC...scored the only goal of the match in a 1-0 victory during the spring season over Louisville, and added a goal and assist in the Aces’ 2-2 draw with the MLS Kansas City Wizards in the spring at Overland Park, Kan.

High School/Club – All-Midwest and All-State defender as a senior at Marquette Catholic, where he tallied 64 goals and 38 assists in three seasons after transferring from Chaminade High School in St. Louis...News-Democrat Player of the Year in 2005-06...led Marquette to regional championships in 2004 and ‘05...also a key player on the Metro United club team.

Personal – Daniel Patrick Gibson...born July 15, 1988 in Alton, Illinois...son of Rick and Missy Gibson..has one younger brother, Nicholas...father played soccer at Quincy College..National Honor Society member...earned three letters in soccer and two in basketball at Marquette Catholic...expects to major in marketing.
