2010 – Played in only three early-season matches because of an ankle injury that required surgery...will have two years of eligibility remaining, beginning in 2011...chosen as team captain prior to the 2010 season.

2009 – UE's Defensive Most Valuable Player...Honorable Mention All-Missouri Valley Conference central defender...Third Team All-Midwest Region...UE’s defensive leader...major reason why the Aces allowed only 25 goals, the second best defensive total since 1992...all-tournament at both the ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic and Hotels At Grand Prairie Classic...dangerous player offensively on set pieces; led all UE defenders in shots, with 25...scored goals in victories over Stony Brook, Eastern Illinois and Bradley.

2008 – Stepped into a starting role immediately as a freshman....helped the Aces post seven shutouts, the most since the 1996 NCAA Tournament team had eight...assisted on Kipp Erskine's goal against 14th ranked UC Santa Barbara.

High School/Club – All-state selection in high school...key contributor as a central defender on the Carmel Cosmos team that won multiple Indiana State Cup titles...teammate on the Cosmos with current Aces’ midfielder Robby Lynch...led New Palestine High School to sectional and conference championships in 2006 and 2007...Aces Soccer Camp All-Star in 2007.

Personal – Justin T. Sass...born June 20, 1989...son of Daniel and Susan Sass...has one older brother and one younger sister...mother (Susan Rathmacher Sass) is a 1988 UE grad who played basketball for the Aces...expects to major in math education.
