Jeremy Clark

A former Michigan State goalkeeper, Jeremy Clark joined the University of Evansville men's soccer coaching staff in Feb. 2014 and is now in his second season as the Purple Aces assistant coach.

A native of Sterling Heights, Mich., Clark graduated from Michigan State University in 2011 and joined the Spartan coaching staff prior to the 2012 season.  Clark worked with the MSU goalkeepers, managed the team’s social media networking initiatives and helped with travel planning and day-to-day practice plans.  In addition, he was responsible for on-campus recruiting, daily operations of the soccer office and summer camp preparation.

As a student-athlete at Michigan State, Clark earned the starting goalkeeper job and was voted a team captain as a redshirt senior, playing every minute in goal.  During his senior campaign, he posted a .802 save percentage and 0.94 goals-against average, earning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors on a pair of occasions.  Clark was also part of the 2010 squad that made a remarkable run to the NCAA Sweet 16, before falling to North Carolina in penalty kicks.  Over his five seasons at MSU, Michigan State went 55-34-14 and made three trips to the NCAA Tournament (2008, 2009, 2010).

Following his collegiate career, Clark joined the Detroit City FC of the National Premier Soccer League in the summer of 2012, helping Le Rouge to a 17-4-6 overall record in two seasons.  Clark also coached with TNT Soccer in Lansing, Mich., and the Michigan ODP staff.  He holds a USFF National “C” Coaching License and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Michigan State.
